Do you love wine and wine tasting? Do you love Las Vegas? I have three great wine bars for you to visit on your next trip to Las Vegas or if you are a local and love wining! One on the Las Vegas Strip, one in downtown Las Vegas, and one off the beaten path in Henderson.

Garagiste

Garagiste Wine Bar is in the Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas. A Garagiste is defined as a small scale entrepreneurial wine-maker who does not adhere to the traditions of wine-making. And although Garagiste does not make wine, the spirit behind this name exemplifies the philosophy of what they do. Their focus is small production wines from regions off the beaten path and they are always searching for a new and exciting wine to add to their menu. Their approach to wine is that it should be approachable, inviting and fun with a neighborhood space and storefront that encourages learning and exploration.

Whether you want to book a private event, stop in to sample some wine, or are looking for assistance on building a cellar, Garagiste is the place!

Visit their Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 for 5 dollar wine and beer and on Sunday funday for ½ off bubbly.

La Cave

La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway is located at the Wynn. Since 2010, guests have been enjoying both the intimate, natural atmosphere and the handcrafted wines from the very best vineyards around the world. Owner Michael Morton created an ambiance with the sophistication of a vintner's tasting room paired with an accessible neighborhood feel, welcoming both the wine connoisseur and the novice.

La Cave’s small-plates menu, designed by Chef Billy DeMarco, offers contemporary American cuisine with an international influence, designed to enhance the wine palate. Some temptations include hand-cut charcuterie, artisanal flatbreads and bacon-wrapped dates.

Their wine list is available by the glass and bottle, in addition to select opportunities for smaller pours. Visit La Cave on your next trip to Las Vegas any weekday after 4 pm and weekends after 10 am.

Vegas Valley Winery

For an off strip experience, visit Vegas Valley Winery in Henderson, only 15 minutes from the Las Vegas strip. The only full fledged winery in the Las Vegas area, this winery produces its own wine from grapes imported from California. It is located in what is called the Artisan Booze District, an industrial business park where you can also find great breweries.

Prices are reasonable on glasses, bottles and flights and every Wednesday is Wine Wednesday when you can enjoy $7 glasses of whites & rose wines. $8 reds, & $6 personal pizzas in the tasting room. The winery is affiliated with Grape Expectations, where you can learn how to make your own wine barrel, a process which takes nine months. So if you are a local, gather a few friends and go in on a barrel. Their wine barrel storage room also makes for a fun and unique private event.
